Shag Haircut + Mullet

Popularized by Jane Fonda, Debbie Harry, David Bowie, Mick Jagger, Joan Jett, Stevie Nicks, and Rod Stewart, some say it emerged from New York’s East Village–wherever it came from, we’re going to make sure it’s here to stay at Heavy Metal Hair Salon, as we have many stylist who specializes in this haircut.

Oftentimes, people get this confused with a mullet–which we also specialize in. A mullet is always shorter in the front and longer in the back, with some drastic drop-offs, whereas a shag is heavily layered and is usually shorter and more layered around the face–but still connected to the rest of the cut by layers.

Whether it’s a more drastic mullet or a soft shag, we have what you need to look great and feel even better after getting an updated look.
